Just when you thought it was safe with so many excellent posts on the subject of CCM songs we love to hate in comes this serious contribution... h/t jesusneedsnewpr.net
However, in the fullness of time I will be posting at least one response to the various blog responses.

Everyone needs a friend who is not afraid to give honest, constructive feedback (especially this man, IMO).
Didn't make it past 1:10.
seems to me this is more about his "performance" than about worship ... I found his antics so off-putting I couldn't watch either and I have heard better renditions, ones that really were about worshipping the Almighty God!
Helps justify my choice of this as the song I love to hate. If a dork can choose it to perform like this, it must be crap.

Have to confess I had qualms about putting this up and then last night it occurred to me it is actually the exaggeration that makes us more uncomfortable.
My conclusion is that anyone artistic (or artistically sensitive) finds similar pain in less exaggerated displays...
Part of my ongoing thought process!
